Our recently built Sabalo is the core of Pura Vida Charters. She has 15 feet of fishing deck space with 11 rod holders and an open deck all the way around the stern. "This boat rocks!"

The 315 HP Cummins diesel makes her an extremely reliable fishing machine. With over 200 gallons of fuel capacity, she can take you out 100 miles and back with fuel to spare! The "Pura Vida" boasts 1800lbs. of ice capacity; far more than a charter could ever need. This means there's room for all your food, drinks, fish, and plenty of fresh ice.

The creature comforts of this charter boat are basic but worthy. The Pura Vida's central engine box has a cushion that's 24 square feet and 6 " thick for comfortable seating for six. There's a fish box with another 4 inch thick cushion that seats two. There's also plenty of room to rest in the oversized v-berth below. Whether you want to relax on a fifty mile ride offshore or sit down and reel in a fish, there's room for you AND five of your friends.

Our safety equipment includes an EPIRB, life raft, satellite phone, SOLAS flare kit, first aid kit, spare GPS, spare VHF, and many other safety items. With these tools every trip is a success. Our safety record is 100% with no injuries and we intend to keep it this way.

22' Aquasport 1988

Pura Vida II is the latest addition to the fleet. She was brought in to offer lower cost charters for smaller groups without sacrificing our great fishing ability. In 2007, Pura Vida II was completely refitted for fishing charters. She has new gel coat from top to bottom, a new console, a new deck coating, new electronics, and a new 250 horsepower engine. This boat cruises at 25 knots and can reach speeds of 40 knots with her Mercury EFI engine.

Although this boat is 20 years old everything about her looks brand new. Every detail was taken in the refurbishing of this boat. She handles up to 4 passengers and one or two crew members easily. For a small group the Pura Vida II will be able to navigate quickly offshore and have the same fishing experience as our 32' Sabalo at a discounted price.
